Levi Silvanie is a true Caribbean artist.One who was born with music in his heart and rhythm in his soul. Levi’s music can be described as World-pop jazz music. He sings his songs in english and papiamentu.

The absolute highlight of the tour was playing at the Curacao N...orth Sea Jazz festival in 2011. After this success Levi went back to the Hague to finish recording his first full length album entitled ‘DIFFERENT’

Now, after four years of recording ‘DIFFERENT’ Levi is setting his sight on making people sing, dance and left inspired....

For 3 consecutive years, the international windsurfing competition - The Curacao Challenge - has booked great success. Last year the event even drew a large group of international participants, including the attention of The International Funboard Class Association (IFCA), a global umbrella organization responsible for organizing windsurfing world championships.

The organization is in the hands of the association Windfreaks who have their hands full this year, organizing an unique concept: From May 18 to 21, 2012 a 4 day tour will take place alongside the finest windsurfing locations of Curaçao. Namely St. Joris Bay, the Spanish Water and at sea at Zanzibar. A competition (including Slalom, Long Distance and Freestyle for all age classes) of this concept has not been done anywhere in the world!

At Zanzibar the surfers will hit the sea on Saturday, May 19 and Sunday May 20

BUBBLES ON THE BEACH is Sunday, May 27 from 13:00 pm until sunset and lounge music by DJ Joey Banana's!

At "Bubbles on the Beach" there is a lot to do; beach atmosphere, the setting sun, good food, music and ... many sparkling wine!

Everyone is free to come at Zest Beach Café to informally get acquainted with sparkling wines selected by The Drinks Company & Servir Frais.

Besides the bubbels, our friendly staff goes around with nice 'beach bites.

On Sunday June 10, the Ronald MacDonald House Charities Curacao Foundation organises the Walk for Frank.

Who is Frank?
Last year Frank had a devastating accident while jumping off a pier into the ocean. He hit his head against a rock, broke his neck and consequently ended up in a paralyzed state from the neck down with minimal movement in his upper body. Prognosis for his recovery is unfortunately not very promising. He will forever remain paralyzed and has been hospitalized for almost nine months now. The medical team and physical therapist dedicated to his recovery urgently need the support of an electrical wheelchair to further improve his limited recovery. The price of this wheelchair is Fl 53.000, - It is custom made and can be operated with head movements, but is not covered by his health insurance. It is also a contributable factor to improving Frank’s mental wellbeing, because without it he will have no other option than to be confined to his bed. 

Walk For FrankIt is because of this high cost that the Ronald MacDonald House Charities Curacao Foundation decided to dedicate its first walk to Frank. Our goal is to raise enough funds to purchase this wheelchair, giving him the ability to return back to society as a functioning member and turning his life around in a positive way.The Walk for Frank will be held on June 10, 2012, from Banco di Caribe, Schottegatweg Oost, to Zanzibar. DJ Maarten Schaakel will entertain the group, every step of the way.

Zanzibar offers, in cooperation with the Bakery The Sun and EWT, at the finish Frankfurter würstchen (special hotdogs) for the price of Nafl. 8.- from which 2 guilders will go to the charity.

On Friday July 6, 2012, the band Orange Grove will entertain Zanzibar.

Preshow starting at 18:00 hrs with The Lions Band, after which Orange Grove will take the stage. 

Orange Grove is a band much loved on the island, because of it's own unique sound. By crossing reggae music with many other Caribbean styles like hip hop, Zouk and Soca Rock, they managed to create a unique style, difficult to categorize
